Ingredients:

  • 500g bread flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 250ml lukewarm milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the melted butter, lukewarm milk, and beaten egg to the bowl. Mix well until a soft dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to the D'BakerAid's D'Dough bowl (4.75q). Choose the yeast activation program and follow the instructions to activate the yeast.
  4. Once the yeast is activated, select the dough proofing program suitable for making buns. Cover the bowl with the lid and let D'BakerAid do the rest until the program is finished.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place a D'BakerAid D'Grill on the bottom of the oven.
  6. Transfer the proofed dough onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and shape each portion into a smooth ball.
  7. Place the dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them for expansion. Cover the baking sheet with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough balls rise for about 30 minutes or until they have doubled in size.
  8. Brush the tops of the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
  9. Bake the buns in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the buns cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, slice them horizontally to use as burger buns.
