Ingredients:
- 500g bread flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 250ml lukewarm milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- In the D'Yeast 2.5L bowl, combine milk, sugar, and yeast.
- Close the bowl with the lid.
- Select the yeast activation program suitable for your yeast and press Start.
- Allow the program to run until the yeast is fully activated.
- Transfer the activated yeast mixture to the D'BakerAid’s D'Dough 4.5L bowl.
- Add the melted butter, flour, and salt to the bowl.
- Mix, stir, and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Choose the White dough proofing program designed for bun dough.
- Cover the bowl with the lid and let D'BakerAid handle the proofing process until the program finishes.
- Transfer the proofed dough to a lightly floured surface. Divide it into equal-sized portions and shape each portion into a smooth ball.
- Place the dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them for expansion. Cover with a food nylon or clean kitchen towel and let them rise for 15-30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Fill the D'Steamer container with water up to about 80% and close the lid.
- Place the D’Steamer on one side of the oven bottom (not in the middle).
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Wait 10-15 minutes for the oven to heat up and for the water in the D’Steamer to start evaporating.
- Brush the tops of the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let the buns cool on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, slice the buns horizontally to use as burger buns.
