Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) of active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup of warm water

Instructions:

  • Activate the Yeast:
    • Using your D'BakerAid, select one of the yeast fermentation/activation programs that matches your yeast type (e.g., Fresh, Instant, Dry) for the D'Yeast glass bowl.
    • Place the yeast, sugar, and warm water in the D'Yeast glass bowl, and then close it with the lid.
    • Let the program run until the yeast is fully activated (usually 10-15 minutes).
  • Mix the Dough:
    • In a separate mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
    • Once the yeast is activated, add the flour mixture and olive oil to the D'Dough larger bowl.
    • Mix the ingredients manually in the D'Dough bowl or in a standing mixer until you have a smooth, elastic dough.
  • Rise:
    • Leave the dough in the D'Dough bowl and cover it with the lid.
    • Select one of the proofing programs that matches your dough type (e.g., White, Mixed, Whole Grain or Sourdough) on the D'BakerAid.
    • Allow the dough to rise until it has doubled in size, typically 30-40 minutes with the device. During this time, perform gentle foldings of the dough every 15 minutes. You may repeat the program 1-2 more times if needed, as pizza dough benefits from extra attention and patience.
  • Preheat and Shape:
    • Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can reach (usually around 500°F or 260°C).
    • Divide the risen dough into portions for your desired pizza sizes and shape them into rounds or rectangles on a floured surface.
    • Bake:
      • Place your pizza toppings on the dough.
      • Transfer the pizza(s) to a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly (usually 10-12 minutes).

    Enjoy your homemade pizza!
