Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) of active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup of warm non-chlorinate water

Instructions:

1. Activate the Yeast:

  • In the D'Yeast 2.5L bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and water. Close the lid.
  • Select the yeast fermentation program that matches your yeast type (Fresh, Instant, or Dry).
  • Let the program run to completion to ensure the yeast is fully activated.

2. Prepare the Dough:

  • Once the yeast is activated, pour the mixture into the D'Dough 4.5L bowl.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil.
  • Mix manually in the D'Dough bowl or use a standing mixer until smooth and elastic.

    3. Dough Proofing:

    • Keep the dough in the D'Dough 4.5L bowl and cover it with the lid.
    • Select a proofing program that matches your dough type (White, Mixed, Whole Grain, or Sourdough).
    • Let the dough rise until the program completes. For extra fermentation, repeat the program 1-2 more times, as pizza dough benefits from extra attention and patience.
    • During the second proofing, gently fold the dough every 15 minutes until the program completes.

    4. Preheat, Shape & Bake with Steam:

    • Fill the D’Steamer with water (about 80%) and close the lid.
    • Place the D’Steamer on the left or right side of your oven (not in the middle).
    • Preheat your oven to its highest temperature (500°F / 260°C). Allow 10-15 minutes for the oven to heat up and the D’Steamer to start evaporating.
    • Divide the risen dough into portions and shape into rounds or rectangles on a floured surface.
    • Add your favorite pizza toppings.
    • Transfer the pizza onto a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
    • Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly (about 8-10 minutes).
